FFA District Meet

Article By: Caitlyn Corso
Mar 18, 2015

On Saturday, March 14th Big Timber FFA held the district meet for 2015. Despite the chaos of hosting a meet, the chapter still pulled off great results. President Brent Beley, along with the other officers, Mr. Mattheis, and Mr. Lunceford did a great job conducting this meet while still contributing to the outstanding performance of the chapter,

The Farm Business Management team of Kalvin Kunda, Payson Lippert, Carlie Rembold, and Tucker Stenberg took first place. Payson also received second place individually.

The mechanics' teams were not fully intact at this contest, however they were still a force to be reckoned with taking sixth and third overall. The sixth place team included Kalvin Kunda and Tucker Stenberg, who also received second individually. The third place team included Carlie Rembold, Leif Holman, and Brent Beley who also took third individually.

The Agronomy team of Carter Brownlee, Martje Plaggemeyer, Caitlyn Corso, and Kelli Mack received first place overall. Kelli took first individually, Caitlyn took second, and Martje took third.

With this contest under the SGHS FFA Chapter's belt they will move on to the state meet on March 25th.

The best of luck is wished to all of the FFA members competing.
