Caitlyn Corso

Caitlyn Brianne Corso was born July 1, 1998 in Orangevale, California. She moved to the Big Timber area in December of 2012. Caitlyn is a senior at Sweet Grass County High School and is the 2015/16 Website Editor of the Sheepherder. As a member of the Sheepherder staff, Caitlyn aspires to “inform the people of the happenings of SGHS.” Caitlyn enjoys writing opinion pieces.

Caitlyn is an SGHS cheer captain for the second year in a row. To quote her favorite movie, Bring It On, Caitlyn says that “Cheer equals death.” However, aside from movie references, Caitlyn believes that cheer is a way of life and has participated in the sport since she was eight years old. Depending on what university she attends, Caitlyn would like to be a member of the cheer squad.

In addition to her illustrious cheerleading career, Caitlyn is involved in a plethora of other activities. She is the reporter for the Big Timber Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter. “FFA is a great way to experience new things and meet new people,” said Caitlyn, a second year member of the organization. Caitlyn is also the secretary of Serving and Volunteering Youth (SAVY), a student volunteer group at SGHS. Additionally, Caitlyn has served as the hair and makeup artist for the SGHS Thespians since 2014. Caitlyn is a new member of the Margaret Deegan chapter of the National Honor Society.

In reference to her plans after graduation, Caitlyn said “LOL.” However, she is certain that in a year from now she will be studiously pouring away at the books. Caitlyn hopes to attend a university outside of Montana. Her first choice is the University of Pennyslvania. When she grows up, Caity would like to be a child psychiatrist.
